On all Emerson / White Rodgers programmable stats there is a way to override the password lockout for the installer settings. All you have to do is hold down the menu button for 20 seconds and it will give you access to all the installer setup features. This can be very helpful if you forget the password or if you are a not the original contractor on the job site.

FYI- As you may know, the Honeywell T7350 thermostats have been able to be programmed from a PDA. Honeywell has now released a cable (part # USB-TIM) that can be used to program the T7350 from a PC. The software can be downloaded from their website: http://customer.honeywell.com/T7350. The form # for the user’s guide is 66-0337.

I wanted to make you aware of a Johnson update. Johnson has obsoleted the M9206-GGA-2 actuator. The replacement is a M9208-GGA-2 for a damper and a M9206-GGA-2S for a valve, which our system tells us. The problem you need to be aware of is the old Johnson actuator had a selectable switch from 0-10VDC, 2-10VDC, 6-9VDC, and 4-20MA.The new actuators will “not” do 6-9VDC. If a customer is using that signal I suggest using a Belimo NFX24-MFT with a program code of AAU. The rotation time will be 100 seconds as opposed to the 90 seconds that the old Johnson did.
